How Alternative Medicine can Compliment Traditional Medicine in Treating and Supporting Individuals with Mental Health Disorders

Speakers:

Clark Elliott, Ph.D., MFT and Elizabeth Kelleher, MA, Neurofeedback Therapist from the Santa Barbara Neurofeedback Center

Kathleen Boisen, OMD. LAc, CH, Integrative Medicine Practinoner, Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncturist and Certified Hypnotherapist

Dr. Elliott and Ms. Kelleher will introduce Neurofeedback Therapy, also called EEG Biofeedback, a state of the art non-invasive and drugless method for teaching the brain to function in a more balanced and healthful way.  They will explain the therapy with a live demonstration.

Dr. Boisen’s specialty is integration of Western medical protocol with alternative medicine, and knowing which approach is most effective in a given clinical situation.  She will speak on use of acupuncture, homeopathy, hypnotherapy, herbs and the brain’s ability to change.  She will engage the audience with role playing communication and life skills.
