First NAMI Santa Barbara Peer to Peer Class Enrolling NOW!

Our first NAMI Peer to Peer class will begin on Friday, March 1 at the Mental Wellness Center. The class consists of 8 weekly two hour sessions designed to provide resources, information and skills around mental health conditions and how to recover from them. Participants will receive respect, understanding, encouragement and hope allowing each person to build on his/her personal strength and resilience in pursuit of recovery. NAMI Peer to Peer shares much of the philosophy of NAMI’s most successful educational offering: Family to Family. The main difference is that Peer to Peer is designed specifically for those living with mental health conditions and can only be taught by specially trained and certified peer mentors who themselves live with mental health conditions.

NAMI Peer-to-Peer is an 8-session recovery-focused course for adults with mental health conditions.

  • Free and confidential

  • Held weekly for two hours

  • Led by peers with mental health conditions

NAMI Southern Santa Barbara Co., the local organization of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, will offer NAMI Peer-to-Peer on Fridays from 2:00-4:00 pm beginning March 1.
